‘Twas the day after Christmas. I looked through the house.
Not a thing here was paid for; I felt like a louse.

The stockings were empty; my wallet was bare.
I didn’t have a dime and nobody cared.

On Visa! On Mastercard! On AmEx and Discover!
I even tried borrowing cash from my brother!

The mortgage was due and they all wanted money.
You know something, friend, this wasn’t so funny!
I remembered I saw in an ad a while back:

I got up the courage and jumped right on in,
and this year my wallet isn’t so thin!
