If your home office is like mine, any time the phone rings, the kids somehow find a reason to come in and need something right then! Whether it is homework help, a conflict to solve, or just sharing something exciting, kids have a knack for picking phone time to come visit!
Some of the direct selling divas from the DSWA recommended a headset that solves this problem! It is made by AT&T and is called the EH535 Lightup Headset and the great thing about it is there are lights that light up on the headset when it is in use! So the kids can immediately see when you are actually talking to a customer vs. doing something else that may mean you are available to talk. It also flashes when it is in mute mode and has some other features. I have seen it online for under $40 and it plugs into either a regular land line, cordless phone, or cell phone. Now training the kids to respect the light will be another challenge but I am sure they will catch on in no time!
