Someone on The Mompack asked for ideas to help with home parties. One of the members, Deb Emery, who is a consultant with Mia Bella candles, shared this fun idea for getting bookings at your home parties and said I could share it here. The following is her post – try it!

Take a white or regular envelope. Decorate it up, punch a hole on each side
of the envelope and put a string long enough through to make like a
“necklace” out of it. Inside the envelope place a piece of paper with a
special gift written down on it (whatever your choice of gift from the
company you are with that you will give this hostess when she gets 3
bookings but don’t tell her what it is!) Have her wear the necklace. As
the guests start to arrive they’ll ask her what is it and what’s inside.
She’ll reply with “i have no idea. I can’t open it and find out until i get
3 bookings!” Trust me…people will book! I remember getting 4-6 bookings
at a party because the hostess wanted to know what was in the envelope and
SHE would ask everyone to book! Everyone laughed and had a good time
because it was silly. When she gets the bookings she can open it and find
out what she’ll get BUT she gets it after the 3rd party is held. This way
everyone gets held to their party and you don’t lose out.
